GALA ANNIVERSARY CONCERTS
Baruch/Gayton created and produced the 150th Anniversary Concert for the National Historic Landmark Philadelphia Academy of Music, as well as the 5 subsequent Anniversary concerts. The concert celebrating the 150th Anniversary of America’s oldest Concert Hall and Opera House was attended by national and international luminaries including England’s Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge. Each concert featured the legendary Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by such luminaries as Cristoph Eschenbach and Yannick Nezet-Seguin. Classical soloists included Yo-Yo Ma, Renee Fleming, Ben Heppner and Juan Diego Florez. Guest artists performing with original symphonic arrangements at these benefit concerts included Billy Joel, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Sting and Diana Krall. Special features included the world premiere performance of the Concerto for PVC Pipes and Orchestra, Opus 4 (Some Assembly Required), featuring Blue Man Group and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
